Dahabiya Nile Cruise: A Timeless Journey on the Nile
Experience the elegance of yesteryears with a Dahabiya Nile cruise, offering a classic way to explore the Nile. Sail in the tradition of pioneering travelers aboard a charming Dahabiya, blending historical romance with modern comfort. This leisurely cruise between Luxor and Aswan combines exceptional sightseeing, serene sailing, delectable traditional meals, and attentive personal service.
Serene and Idyllic Life on Board
A day aboard a Dahabiya is filled with simple pleasures. Relax in a deck chair, enjoy a book, or observe the daily life of Nile-side villages. You’ll have opportunities to explore local markets, visit nearby villages, and admire the monuments along the Nile. Freshly prepared meals are served on the sundeck, in the dining room, or at scenic spots along the river. Enjoy dining under a starlit sky by the light of a campfire, far removed from the hustle of large cruise ships. While there are no flashy discos, you may have the chance to enjoy a performance by local musicians under the stars.
A Perfect Blend of Tradition and Luxury
Accommodation on the Dahabiya includes four spacious cabins and one or two luxurious suites, all individually decorated with authentic oriental furnishings. Each cabin has its own bathroom and accommodates up to two guests. The boat is fully air-conditioned and heated with individual controls. The half-shaded sun deck is the heart of the Dahabiya, featuring comfortable chairs, a divan, sun beds, and dining tables, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the scenic riverbanks and watch the landscape pass by.
Pure Wind Power – Engine-Free
Our traditional two-masted Dahabiya boats are modeled after the original designs from the late 18th and early 19th centuries and are powered solely by wind. Experience the tranquility of sailing with only the sounds of the breeze through the sails and the water flowing past the bow.
Guaranteed Weekly Departures
Our three Dahabiya boats operate between Esna and Aswan with guaranteed weekly departures. Choose from two itineraries: a 4-night journey upriver from Esna to Aswan or a 3-night trip downriver from Aswan to Esna. There is no minimum number of passengers required, and each cruise has fixed departure dates.
